Tacita Dean

The exhibition of Tacita Dean is a 11-film called FILM. this film is projected in a 13-meter wall at the end of the Turbine Hall. The film has a masterful techniques of analogue film-making, is a montage of black and white, colour and half tinted film.
Tacita Dean has created a web site where she shows how she has done the FILM.
The web shows a little interview or documentary, where we follow the creative process of Tacita. We can see how she plans the work on her Berlin studio, we also see how all the machnes work and how she, manually, cuts the frames and the paste it the way that she want it to be.
If  we move ourselves through the web we can see the introduction. This introduction is an article by nicholas cullinan and it talks about how Tacita Dean work the analogue film. Because of the reduced demand that technique is falling in disuse. Photochemical film has a distinctive texture and qualities, colour, depth in ways that digital can't.
Then we have a Sketchbook where we find a selected pages of the work of Tacita.
Moving forward there's a space that is called mount analogue is an space that shows how is everything made with the analogue technique. how the film is filmed how is it made.
